Pros
- •The tree looks absolutely beautiful and very realistic once properly fluffed and shaped, achieving a full, natural appearance.
- •Branches are woven with green and brown accents, enhancing the natural look.
- •Comes pre-lit with warm white lights, providing a pleasant glow without being harsh.
- •Plenty of space on both interior and exterior branches for ornaments.
- •The tree stands tall at 12 feet and has a wide, balanced base that prevents it from being top-heavy.
- •Well-built and sturdy design that avoids the typical skinny artificial tree look.
- •Once assembled and fluffed, the tree fits well in rooms that require a tree neither too wide nor too narrow.
- •Pre-lit feature saves setup time compared to stringing your own lights.
- •Customer service receives some positive comments for responsiveness.
- •The tree is slightly taller than advertised, adding good value in height.
Cons
- •Many bulbs burn out quickly, with large sections of lights failing even after limited use.
- •Replacement bulbs and fuses included are insufficient; users often need more to fix lighting issues.
- •Lights can blow fuses easily if all plugged into a single outlet, requiring splitting the load between two outlets to avoid electrical problems.
- •Assembly and setup require a *massive* investment of time, often 3.5 to 8 hours to fluff and shape branches for fullness.
- •The tree looks sparse and disappointing straight out of the box, needing extensive fluffing to reach the advertised fullness.
- •Bulky and heavy, requiring multiple people and space to assemble comfortably.
- •Stand lacks a locking mechanism, which some find to be a minor but annoying drawback.
- •The needles can be scratchy during fluffing and decorating, causing some discomfort.
- •Electrical management can be tricky due to the high power draw from the 1,200+ lights.
- •Minor aesthetic inconveniences like trimming tags off wires and rewrapping electrical tape are part of the setup process.
Bottom Line
This is a gorgeous and impressively tall 12-foot tree that shines brightest after a serious fluffing session — it *demands* patience and elbow grease to achieve the lush fullness it promises. If your schedule doesn't allow for hours of assembly and you’re worried about frequent burned-out bulbs and tricky electrical setup, this might not be the hassle-free choice you want. However, if you're willing to invest the time, it delivers a stunning, authentic look worthy of center stage in your holiday décor. For an easier pre-lit experience with fewer lighting headaches, you might want to explore other National Tree Company models with improved light durability.
