good tasty pinto beans cooked for supper had these beans stored for a long time cooked about 3%23 i always rinse all beans 3 times these were very clean i soak my beans in bowl in refrig 3 days seems like the beans boil tender faster i do not pour out the soak water makes my beans taste better. i season with a lot of bacon grease canola oil a good amÃ³unt of butter and while they are boiling i stir frequently. they cook tender in about 1. 5 hrs delicious my family loves them out of the 3%23 that i cooked i found only 1 bean that i discarded. these beans are delicious easy to cook and very reasonably priced the 8%23 size is just right for large families

Dried pinto beans are known to have the longest shelf life of any bean for long term storage. When packaged in %2310 cans or Mylar-type bags, with the oxygen removed, they have a shelf life of 10 or more years. I bought 3 bags here (60lbs) for $45. Online bulk pintos sell for $80 or $90.Walmart's sister store, Sam's Club, has 50lb bags of rice for $27.98. I think I'm going to get another.

Many beans were split in half, others were broken in pieces as if hit by a hammer. Some had holes as if bugs had been feasting. Many were shriveled until there was only a wrinkled flat hull left. A smart choice for today's inflationary prices. I soak overnight. Rinse well. Place one package in crock pot. Add water an inch from the top. Cook 6 hours. Add sautéed onion, hot pepper, one garlic clove, chopped parsley or green of any kind and one cup of diced tomatoes. Cook another two hours. Store in 6 small glass pyrex containers. Freeze. I have one daily. So good.

they were a great value until they jumped up to .94 a can AND made them unavailable for shipping. WM has been doing stuff like that more and more since the end of the year. Im actually finding better deals at Amazon of all places. I have worked and/or shopped at WM for decades but they are forcing me to go elsewhere these days.

These are awesome beans. I always have at least one 20 lb. bag at home. One important note, you MUST carefully sort them for rocks. I get on average, one rock per 10 pounds of beans. If you don’t sort them, you will eventually break a tooth. SORT THEM.

These beans are a great budget stretcher, meal item, that is also really good for you! I like that they are an ALL NATURAL food item, with no chemicals or preservatives. Just beans. I sort them, for any imperfections, rinse them, simmer them in a pan of water, and when they are tender, and almost done, I drain them, if needed, then I like to add corn (which I also get from Walmart), butter, and seasonings, to taste. That’s MY favorite way to eat these, because the beans and corn complement each other so well. However, there are many ways to prepare these beans. They’re good on their own, and versatile in many recipes. Eat HEALTHY. BEANS are one of the BEST FOODS that you can eat, for many reasons, including adding fiber to your diet.
