Pros
- •Effectively attracts cats to the litter box, especially helpful when introducing a new cat or addressing litter box avoidance.
- •Helps resolve issues with cats missing the box, even when it is clean.
- •The appealing scent encourages cats to use the litter box.
- •A small amount of the product goes a long way, providing long-lasting results.
- •Highly recommended for households with multiple cats or challenging litter box habits.
- •Especially beneficial for kittens learning to use the litter box.
- •Combining with a Feliway Multi Cat diffuser led to effective results, with significant improvements noted after a week.
Cons
- •The product may not be effective for every cat, as results vary based on individual preferences and behaviors.
- •In some cases, cats continued urinating outside the litter box despite using the attractant.
- •Some cats, particularly older ones, may have deeply ingrained preferences that resist change even with the product.
- •Suggestions from the vet included trying an attractant, but it remains a common but not guaranteed solution for urination issues outside the box.
Bottom Line
Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Litter Attractant is a promising solution for cat owners facing litter box challenges or introducing new cats or kittens to litter box habits. While it has worked effectively for numerous cats, results can vary based on individual behaviors and preferences, especially with older cats. If persistent issues continue, consulting with a vet and potentially combining the product with other behavioral aids like Feliway might enhance success.
