- •Saves significant time and effort compared to manual pool cleaning, enabling more frequent maintenance.
- •Lightweight, easy to carry, set up, and store away.
- •Removable top-load filter basket is easy to access and clean, rinsing off quickly with a hose.
- •Active scrubber brush helps lift debris and some algae particles.
- •Highly recommended to use the ultra-fine filter basket for improved capture of dust, fine particles, and silty materials.
- •Simple single-button operation allows for mostly hands-free use, including by family members.
- •Works well on soft vinyl liners and handles routine debris effectively.
- •Runs effectively under a solar cover and is waterproof when kept out of direct sunlight.
- •Comes with a 3-year warranty, offering peace of mind for serious pool owners.
Cons
- •Tends to get tangled on pool ladders despite claims that it won’t.
- •The single-button control panel’s light ring never turns off, generating heat that may cause failure after around two years.
- •No automatic shutoff or cycle completion indicator, making it easy to forget if it’s still running.
- •While it lifts some algae, manual scrubbing is still necessary to remove biofilm or stubborn algae patches.
- •Long hair can become tangled in the impeller, requiring occasional manual removal.
- •May require purchasing an additional ultra-fine filter for optimal cleaning performance (not included standard).
- •Some users wish the power button’s light would change color when the cleaning cycle is complete for easier monitoring.
Bottom Line
The Dolphin (2024 Model) E10 is a solid choice for above-ground pool owners who want a convenient, time-saving robotic vacuum with effective debris and dust filtration, especially when paired with its ultra-fine filter basket. However, if you’re concerned about tangling near ladders or want a more intuitive cycle completion indicator, be prepared for those minor quirks. Overall, it delivers consistent cleaning and ease of use across a 30-foot pool and comes backed by a reassuring 3-year warranty. For enhanced algae removal, expect to supplement with manual scrubbing. If you want to explore alternatives with features like automatic shutoff or different filter options, we can help you find a match!
