- •Very stable flight platform with 3-axis gimbal stabilization, ideal for videography and smooth footage.
- •Lightweight design under 249 g makes it highly portable and compliant with many drone regulations.
- •Long flight time of around 30 minutes, allowing extended use without frequent recharging.
- •Impressive transmission range of up to 13 km (44,000 ft), enabling flying over 2 miles away.
- •Includes advanced features like Follow Me mode and Palm Takeoff for easier operation and creative shots.
- •Durable and sturdy build quality enhances longevity and withstands outdoor use.
- •Remote Controller 2 with built-in screen greatly improves flying experience, connectivity, and flight safety information.
- •User-friendly controls and intuitive app/manual make it accessible for beginners after some practice.

Cons
- •Initial setup, especially linking the controller and entering account info, can be time-consuming and slightly complex.
- •Remote controls take some time to master despite being user-friendly eventually.
- •Louder drone noise and higher-pitched blade sound compared to similar models such as the DJI Mini 4 Pro and Mini 5 Pro.
- •Prop guards add safety but still leave blades somewhat accessible, requiring careful handling around children.
- •Not compatible with DJI FPV goggles, limiting some immersive flying options.
- •Lacks an RF ID feature for identity broadcasting during flight, which some newer drones offer.
- •Struggles more in high wind conditions due to prop guard design and lightweight frame.
- •Features are limited when using just a cellphone without the RC2 remote controller.
Bottom Line
The DJI Flip With RC 2 Screen Remote Controller is a powerhouse lightweight drone that brilliantly balances portability, camera quality, and advanced features—making it perfect for adults and beginners who want high-end capabilities without the fuss of heavier models. While setup requires some patience and it’s a bit noisier than similarly priced drones, the sturdy design and exceptional 4K footage make it worth the effort. If you want even quieter flight or FPV goggle compatibility, you might consider looking at DJI Mini 4 Pro or Mini 5 Pro models, but for long range and intuitive Follow Me functionality, this remains a top choice.
