- •Works well with plastic edging to secure pavers, especially on outer curves.
- •Durable and withstands being driven into the ground with a sledgehammer without damage.
- •More cost-effective compared to competing products or smaller packs.
- •Made of plastic, so they won't rust over time.
- •Can be creatively used for various non-traditional purposes, like drumsticks or skewers.
Cons
- •Claims to be suitable for all soil types but does not perform well in hard ground.
- •Experienced breakage of heads after driving in only a few spikes.
- •Some users consider it more of a novelty item rather than a serious gardening tool.
- •Limited suitability for hard soils, which is a concern for some users.
Bottom Line
The Dimex Contractor Pack Nylon Spikes are a versatile and cost-effective solution for securing plastic paver edging, known for their durability and rust-proof material. However, they show limitations in hard soils, with reports of breakage, suggesting they might not be suitable for all environments. If your needs involve tackling tougher ground conditions, you might want to consider more robust alternatives.
