Cons
- •Flat (straight slot) screwdriver bits tend to wear out quickly, with tips shearing off after minimal use.
- •Some bits, particularly Torx and Phillips, show wear after initial use, indicating moderate longevity.
- •FlexTorq bits with flexible shafts may have reduced durability over time under heavy use.
- •A few users mention the shearing of flat bits or tip wear after a few screws.
- •Slightly more expensive compared to cheaper generic sets, though the quality justifies the price.
- •No significant issues reported with the product itself, but durability of specific bits could be better.
Bottom Line
This Dewalt 40-piece impact-ready bit set offers excellent variety, organization, and solid build quality, making it a top choice for both professionals and serious DIYers. However, if you frequently use flat-head bits, be aware they may wear out faster, and you might consider stockpiling a few extras. For those looking for even more durability in flat bits, you could explore alternative brands focused on longevity, but overall, this set provides great value and reliability for most tasks.
