Cons
- •Does not include a battery or charger, so additional purchases are necessary
- •Actual torque output is lower than rated (around 35-40 ft/lbs), limiting heavy-duty applications like brake caliper tightening
- •Struggles with bolts requiring more than approximately 60 ft/lbs of torque, so it may not replace larger impact tools for heavy tasks
- •Battery life lasts about 3 hours under moderate use, which may not be enough for extended work sessions
- •Not ideal for removing very tight or high-torque fasteners without supplemental tools like impact guns or breaker bars
- •The length of the tool may be restrictive in some confined spaces, though extensions can help
Bottom Line
The DEWALT DCF510B is a solid, dependable cordless ratchet perfect for automotive and light to medium-duty tasks. Its compact size, ease of use, and versatility make it a smart addition for professionals and enthusiasts alike. However, if you need to tackle high-torque jobs regularly, you might want to consider a more powerful impact wrench or impact gun, as this model's torque limits could fall short. For those seeking a reliable, high-quality tool for everyday use, this is a reputable choice in its category.
