Cons
- •Height adjustment is limited and not quite high enough to comfortably fit a laptop underneath without needing an additional riser.

- •No USB ports onboard, which limits direct accessory connection and may require additional hubs.
- •Control buttons are somewhat hard to locate and require tactile searching to adjust settings.
- •Automatic input switching between dual HDMI ports is unreliable and lacks prioritization control.
- •Some users report the monitor defaulting to 1920x1080 resolution after setup, requiring manual correction to 4K.
- •Included HDMI cable may not work well with some laptop dongles, often necessitating a USB-C to HDMI cable for full 4K output.
- •Color temperature modes show minimal difference, and "Warm" setting appears cooler than expected.
- •Built-in speakers can only output sound from one source at a time, limiting flexibility during multi-device use.
- •Webcam placement is awkward due to speaker bulk on top, making camera mounting less stable.
Bottom Line
If you want a sharp, stylish 27-inch 4K monitor with great ergonomic flexibility and solid everyday performance, the Dell S2721QS offers excellent value for productivity, creative work, and casual multimedia use. However, if powerful built-in speakers or USB accessory support are must-haves on your desk, this monitor might leave you wanting more. For those features, considering a higher-tier model with better audio and more ports could be worthwhile. Overall, this Dell is a classy, capable choice with just a few compromises to know about.
