Pros
- •Excellent for light hanging tasks, providing a practical solution for space-saving in apartments.
- •Useful for hanging items like aprons and bathrobes without damaging walls.
- •Ideal for renters or those looking to avoid drilling holes.
- •Effective in securing garlands to mantels without sliding or sagging.
- •Provides a nice presentation for decorations, especially with added weight like glass ornaments.
- •Easy to hang items with an initial satisfying appearance.
Cons
- •Hooks fail to adhere to textured and painted walls and often cannot support the rated 5 lbs capacity.
- •Decorations and items fall, causing damage to both the wall and the objects.
- •The hook design is weak; the plastic often breaks after about a year's use.
- •Hooks can fail with lightweight items like raincoats and leashes.
- •Multiple reports of adhesive failing within minutes, especially with weights less than 5 lbs.
- •Users experiencing unexpected quality issues, with previous dependable usage not replicated in new purchases.
- •Repeated failure despite correct application methods, leading to user frustration.
- •Strong warning against reliability; suggested use of alternative adhesive or traditional nails.
Bottom Line
While the Command Large White Utility Hook Value Pack is suitable for minor and non-delicate items in a damage-free hanging setup, it has significant issues adhering to various surfaces and supporting its advertised weight capacity. With recurrent reliability concerns and potential risk of damage, it might be better to consider other options like traditional nails or alternative adhesives, especially for critical or heavy items.
