- •The bench offers a realistic cement look and texture while being made from a sturdy, heavy PVC material that’s much lighter than traditional concrete—around 20 pounds—making it easier to move without sacrificing stability.
- •Assembly is a breeze, requiring just three pieces and four bolts with clear instructions, so no tool-time headaches here.
- •It provides comfortable seating for two with a good height that makes sitting and standing up effortless.
- •Sturdy and durable construction means it’s built to last and withstand frequent outdoor use.
- •Attractive design that fits well in garden and patio settings, adding a practical yet stylish touch to your outdoor space.
- •Stable enough to remain steady when properly anchored, ensuring it won’t tip over easily.
- •Overall, it delivers great value for the price, with many users highly satisfied and even planning to get additional units.
Cons
- •The color is often darker than expected, with several users noting it looks more dark grey rather than a true grey; it may lighten a bit with sun exposure but doesn’t exactly match typical online images.
- •While lightweight for a cement-look bench, it still weighs around 20 pounds, which might be heavier than some expect for moving frequently without anchoring.
Bottom Line
If you want the classic, sturdy appearance of a concrete bench without the usual heavy lifting, the Better Homes & Gardens Colton Bench delivers both style and functionality with easy assembly and impressive durability. Just keep in mind the color leans darker than pictures suggest, so don’t expect a perfect match to the online gray. For a solid outdoor seating option that looks premium without the premium weight, this bench is a smart pick. If you’re seeking an ultra-lightweight alternative or a different color tone, exploring other outdoor benches with fabric cushions or metal frames might be worth considering.
