- •Easy to set up, making it user-friendly even for children or solo campers.
- •Provides excellent value for the price.
- •A queen-sized inflatable mattress fits comfortably, with space left over for a cooler and backpack.
- •Successfully keeps rain out during initial use, although it's recommended to use a tarp for extra waterproofing in heavy rain.
- •A twin double high mattress and additional gear can fit, providing spaciousness for a comfortable setup.
- •Positively reviewed for its overall satisfaction and user experience.
Cons
- •Not suitable for very windy locations like the beach.
- •Limited space, making it more ideal for two or three people rather than four.
- •Only features a half door, lacking proper ventilation with no side or back windows.
- •Zippers are prone to getting stuck on the door sleeves, and some sleeves are misaligned.
- •The poles are weak, with signs of breaking after minimal use.
- •Overall quality, including fabric and construction, is considered cheap by some users, leading to disappointment.
Bottom Line
The Coleman Flatwoods II 4 Person Tent offers good value and is easy to set up, with enough space for a queen mattress and additional gear. However, it may feel cramped for four people and lacks proper ventilation and sturdiness for windy areas. If those factors are crucial for you, consider a different tent model that better accommodates those needs.
