Why this score?
The Coleman Cabin Tent receives a moderate overall rating primarily for its impressive ease of setup and decent interior space, which many users find convenient. However, significant concerns arise regarding its water resistance, with numerous reports of leakage during rainstorms, indicating that it may not be reliable for wet conditions unless additional waterproofing measures are taken. This tent is best suited for quick, casual car camping, rather than extended trips in challenging weather.

Scores
Pros
- •Tent is spacious with easy setup, making it an inviting space for cots and other essentials.
- •Features blackout feature which is a dream for those who want to catch some extra Z's in the morning.
Cons
- •Quality of tent leaves much to be desired with issues such as snapping leg joints and easily tearing material.
- •Slant of the walls turns your cozy shelter into a rain magnet, leading to unwanted indoor showers.
- •Zippers seem to have attended the school of hard knocks, making nighttime bathroom trips an adventure.
- •The blackout feature, while great for late sleepers, turns the tent into a cave during the day.
- •Durability is as questionable as a diet plan during the holidays, with parts breaking and materials tearing faster than you can say 'camping'.
- •The framed door design is as frustrating as trying to thread a needle in the dark, complicating entry and exit.
- •Setting up and taking down feels like wrestling an octopus due to pole issues and materials getting stuck.
- •Rainfly included? More like sieve-fly, with holes ready to welcome every drop of rain.
Bottom Line
Before pitching your hopes on this tent, remember it might bring more drama than a reality TV show. Consider alternatives if you're not keen on turning your camping trip into a survival challenge.
