Cons

- •Citizen's warranty policy is limited, not covering water or moisture damage, leading to costly repairs if moisture intrusion occurs.
- •Some users found the watch to be smaller than expected for a 44mm size, which might not appeal to those wanting a bolder presence.
- •Lack of a diver extension on the bracelet could be inconvenient for some users.
- •Customer service responses to repair issues were sometimes unsatisfactory, with high repair costs and slow updates.
- •Despite being a dive watch, it didn't withstand minimal moisture exposure for some users, indicating possible quality control issues.
- •Titanium's lightweight feel may not suit those wanting a more substantial, 'solid' watch.
- •The date window may be small and difficult to read for some, especially with aging eyes.
- •The seamed crown, while user-friendly, could be a point of vulnerability if not handled carefully.
Bottom Line
This Citizen Eco-Dive Promaster offers a stylish, reliable, and highly functional diving watch with excellent craftsmanship and attractive design. However, its water resistance reliability in extreme conditions could be questionable, and the limited warranty coverage might cause concern. If durability in wet conditions is a priority, you might want to explore other dive watches with more robust water resistance or better moisture protection. Alternatively, consider models like the Seiko Prospex series, which are renowned for their durability and water resistance in harsh environments.
