Cons

- •Very poor reliability—many units failed within months or immediately out of the box, pointing to a potential design flaw
- •Slight distortion in speaker audio after about a year, a common recurring problem among users
- •A high price point that’s hard to justify given limited durability and frequent technical issues
- •Some users found the fit uncomfortable or not suitable for all head sizes
- •The constant blinking red light can prevent use and is considered a significant nuisance
- •Warranty replacements available but recurring issues raise worries about long-term support
- •Despite upgrades, some still prefer older models for their reliability and familiarity
Bottom Line
While the Carrera Smart Glasses with Alexa boast a sleek look, better sound, and longer battery life than older generations, persistent technical flaws like charging issues and fragile durability make them a questionable investment. If style and smart features are your priority, they’re appealing, but be prepared for potential reliability headaches. For a more dependable experience with similar smart audio features, you might want to consider alternative brands with better reviews on hardware longevity.
