Pros
- •Easy to install, requiring basic tools like a small basin wrench and pliers.
- •No leaks experienced during use, indicating reliable performance.
- •Effectively connects 1/2 inch pipes to valves, making it useful for maintaining plumbing systems.
- •Serves as an important maintenance item to prevent leaks, recommended for replacement every 7-10 years.
- •Preferred choice for users who favor threaded pipes and connectors over push-on styles.
- •Suitable for managing multiple rental units and works well with half-inch faucets.
- •Reliable for installing shower towers, despite a smaller inner diameter.
Cons
- •Water tastes strange after installation and has a persistent odor affecting water quality.
- •The 20" length was the only option available, leading to an unprofessional appearance if a shorter connector is needed.
- •Overall dissatisfaction arises from improper fit and aesthetic issues.
- •Smaller inner diameter compared to OEM supply lines, which may affect water volume.
- •Installation can be frustrating, possibly requiring multiple trips to acquire the necessary items.
Bottom Line
The BrassCraft B8-20A F 362488 20" Polymer Coated Braided Hose Faucet Connector boasts easy installation and leak-proof reliability, making it a solid choice for connecting 1/2-inch pipes. However, potential issues with water quality and fitting aesthetics suggest that buyers should evaluate their specific length needs and consider if the water quality concerns are a deal-breaker.
