Scores
Pros
- •Exceptional sound quality with deeper, punchier bass and clearer, brighter highs and mids compared to previous models and many competitors.
- •Outstanding noise cancellation that effectively reduces background noise without annoying hissing, though slightly less powerful than some premium rivals like Sony XM5 in certain settings.
- •Superior comfort thanks to a lightweight, sturdy build and soft ear cushions, making them ideal for long listening sessions.
- •Seamless multi-point Bluetooth connectivity allows easy switching between devices like smartphones and TVs without hassle.
- •Long battery life of up to 24 hours with quick USB-C charging keeps you powered for a full day of use.
- •User-friendly and simple controls with useful Quiet and Aware modes for adapting to different environments.
- •Refined sound out of the box requiring minimal equalizer adjustment for most users.
- •Lightweight design and a secure but not too tight fit that won’t cause discomfort, even for extended wear.
- •Reliable Bluetooth connection with clear battery status updates and a built-in microphone good for calls.
- •Durable build quality supported by readily available spare parts and a practical carrying case.
Cons
- •Noise cancellation, while excellent, is not quite on the level of some competitors like Sony XM5 or Sonos Ace, especially in very noisy environments like flights or busy streets.
- •Touch controls feel awkward and less intuitive compared to traditional physical buttons found on older Bose models.
- •Fit can be a bit loose for some users, prone to slipping during active movement or when looking down.
- •Battery life, though solid at 24 hours, is somewhat less than some rival models that offer longer playback times.
- •Better suited for casual or home use rather than extreme noise environments or intense physical activity.
- •Some users might prefer slightly more customizable tech features, as these headphones lean toward simplicity rather than extensive options.
Bottom Line
The Bose QuietComfort Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones in Sandstone offer a fantastic blend of rich sound, impressive noise cancellation, and all-day comfort—perfect for music lovers and frequent remote workers alike. While not quite the absolute noise-cancelling champion in every environment, their refined audio, seamless multi-device connectivity, and lightweight design make them a solid pick if you prize ease of use and balanced performance. If you’re looking for stronger noise cancelling or more tactile controls, consider checking out the Sony XM5, but for a well-rounded, stylish, and comfortable set of premium headphones, these Bose QuietComforts hold their own beautifully.
