Cons
- •The small bin capacity (5.5 gallons) requires frequent emptying, approximately every two days.
- •Noise levels can be high due to its powerful motor, which may be bothersome in quiet environments.
- •Pre-cleaning instructions suggest ripping staples off before shredding; staples themselves haven't been thoroughly tested.
- •Tall design might be less accessible for some users expecting a lower profile.
- •The shredder's noise and power might be excessive for light home use unless needed for heavy-duty tasks.
Bottom Line
The Bonsaii 12-Sheet Cross Cut Paper Shredder is a heavy-duty, reliable choice for home offices that need to shred large quantities of sensitive documents regularly. Its ability to handle thick, damp materials and run for extended periods without overheating makes it stand out. However, the small bin size and noise level are factors to consider if you plan to use it more casually. If you’re after a more silent or larger-capacity shredder, you might want to explore other options.
