Cons
- •The hinge and hinge arm are reported as weak and prone to issues, affecting durability

- •Piezo electric lighter for the griddle can be unreliable and sometimes fail to ignite
- •No igniter present for the side burner, requiring manual lighting
- •The orange lid is designed for transport only — it cannot be used for cooking or as a heat shield
- •Reattaching the griddle after removing the propane connector can be tricky until you get used to it
- •Plastic parts stored under the griddle require caution on first lighting to avoid damage
- •Overall, some users note that cooking quality is satisfactory but may need adjustment to quirks
Bottom Line
The Blackstone 12" x 14" Camping Griddle with Side Burner is a lightweight, portable, and versatile choice perfect for outdoor cooking enthusiasts who need reliable performance in a compact size. Its side burner expands your cooking options, while the ceramic-coated griddle balances ease of cleaning with decent heat distribution. However, if you want a more robust build with cast iron durability or a more reliable igniter system, you might want to explore other options. Still, for campers prioritizing portability and a solid all-in-one solution, this griddle delivers consistent value without breaking your back.
