- •Comes with useful attachments including an extendable tool for tight spaces and a flip-down brush for furniture and shelves.
- •Easy to disassemble, empty, and clean with a clear dust container and washable filter for simple maintenance.
- •Durable construction withstands heavy, regular use with improved performance compared to older models.
- •Wall mount option helps with convenient storage near outlets.
- •Performs well for small household cleaning tasks and pet hair pickup.

- •Affordable price point for a reliable handheld vacuum.
Cons
- •Battery life is short, typically lasting 20–25 minutes and requiring long charging times of up to 16–24 hours.
- •No charging indicator light, so you have to guess when the vacuum is fully charged, leading to occasional overcharging or undercharging.
- •Battery is permanently sealed with no practical replacement option, forcing disposal of the entire unit once battery capacity declines.
- •Battery lifespan tends to degrade after about 1.5 to 3 years, significantly reducing vacuum usability.
- •Dusting brush attachment may limit light dust pickup by holding the nozzle too far from surfaces.
- •Wide charging plug can block adjacent outlets on a power strip.
- •Lack of prefilter causes fiber and fine debris to mat on the filter, which can reduce suction over time.
- •Bearings sometimes wear out early, causing annoying squealing noises.
- •Charging setup—separate wall mount and charger—can be a minor inconvenience.
- •Not designed for long cleaning sessions; best for quick, spot cleaning only.
Bottom Line
The BLACK+DECKER dusbuster Handheld Vacuum (HHVI320JR02) is a solid, affordable choice if you need a lightweight, portable vacuum for quick cleanups and pet hair removal with strong suction and handy attachments. However, its battery limitations—short runtime, long charge times, no charging indicator, and non-replaceable battery—make it a less appealing choice if you need longer use or sustainability. If battery longevity and easy replacement are priorities, you might want to consider other models with interchangeable batteries or better battery monitoring features before committing.
