Cons
- •Quite loud; ear protection recommended.
- •The provided leaf bags are impractical, either detaching easily or filling too quickly.
- •Requires careful debris management to avoid damage, such as blowing rocks.
- •The new model's debris catch bag is poorly designed, being oversized and awkward.
- •Design flaw with a fan cover obstructing the release button on the newer model.
- •Mulching can cause dirt and leaf dust to escape, getting on the user.
Bottom Line
The BLACK+DECKER Leaf Blower & Leaf Vacuum model BV6000 is powerful and efficient for handling large volumes of leaves, making it a great choice for homeowners with sizable tree-covered yards. While it's user-friendly and robust, the noise level and poorly designed leaf bags are notable drawbacks. If you're dealing with a leaf-heavy lawn and want durable metal impeller blades, this is worth considering. However, if quieter operation and better-designed bags are priorities, reviewing alternatives might be beneficial.
