- •Overall pleased with the initial quality and performance
Cons
- •Received a used item with frayed wrapping and unwound cable, compromising perceived quality
- •Emits an unpleasant oily residue on contact, causing discomfort
- •Has a strong plastic smell initially, which takes days to dissipate
- •Residue and smell may require washes and precautions around bedding or contact-sensitive areas
- •Failed after just two months, with multiple users reporting early charge issues
- •Less durable than Apple’s official cables, which tend to last longer
- •Both devices stopped charging, indicating a widespread failure
Bottom Line
This Belkin cable offers initial durability, fast charging, and added length for convenience, but concerns over used items, unpleasant residue, and early failure suggest it may not provide the long-term reliability some users seek. For better longevity, consider official Apple cables or highly reputable alternatives.
