Pros
- •Three 15.6-inch Full HD IPS displays dramatically expand your workspace for multitasking, remote work, IT support, and home-lab setups.
- •The sturdy full-aluminum frame, firm hinges, and integrated kickstand create a stable, professional workstation without attaching anything to your laptop.
- •Setup is relatively painless: unfold the unit, connect power and video cables, and configure extended or mirrored displays.
- •USB-C display/power support plus three Mini HDMI inputs offer broad connectivity across Windows and macOS laptops, including newer Apple silicon systems.
- •Three stand-height settings help accommodate different laptop sizes while leaving room beneath the monitors for the laptop screen.
- •Matte screens reduce glare, while IPS panels provide wide viewing angles and generally consistent color across the display array.
- •Reverse charging up to 60W can help simplify power management when using a compatible USB-C laptop.
- •The folding design is handy for temporary workstations and presentations, including shared-view arrangements with the outer screens folded inward.
- •Eye-care mode is a welcome touch for long work sessions.
Cons
- •The unit weighs about 7.05 pounds and has a substantial footprint, making it better for home, office, or car-based travel than backpacks or air travel.
- •Driver installation is required, and recognition can be unreliable, sometimes requiring repeated reconnection attempts.
- •Running all three displays can place significant demands on some laptops, particularly through a single USB-C connection.
- •Cable management becomes cluttered when all three screens are connected separately.
- •Full HD at 60Hz is fine for office work but lacks the sharpness and responsiveness expected for detailed creative work or high-end gaming.
- •At 350 nits, the screens are suitable for typical indoor use but can look dim in brightly lit rooms and may be less vivid than a laptop display.
- •Matte coating reduces reflections but adds a slight texture that can soften text and reduce perceived color punch.
- •Individual panels may show small color differences despite generally good viewing angles and broad sRGB coverage.
- •Built-in speakers are adequate for calls and notifications but lack volume, bass, and satisfying media quality.
- •One display remains exposed when the workstation is folded, so transport protection is not flawless.
Bottom Line
The Aura Displays Triple Aero Pro Max is a compelling **productivity-first workstation** for users who genuinely need three extra screens without installing a permanent desktop setup. Its sturdy construction, flexible connectivity, and fast setup are strong points, but the weight, cable clutter, driver quirks, and merely adequate 1080p/60Hz panels make it overkill for simpler workflows. Buy it for maximum multitasking; skip it if portability, gaming performance, or color-critical creative work matters most.
