Pros
- •Delivers excellent gaming performance, easily surpassing 200 FPS in popular titles like Fortnite and CS2.
- •Impressive ray tracing visuals enhanced by DLSS 4 and frame generation technology for smoother, more consistent gameplay.
- •Runs cool and quiet even under heavy load thanks to the efficient Axial-tech dual-fan cooling system and 0dB technology.
- •Compact 2.5-slot design fits well in small form factor builds without sacrificing power or thermal performance.
- •Built with premium materials and a robust design, ensuring durability and long-term reliability.
- •Highly power-efficient with a 150W TDP, leaving thermal headroom for overclocking and keeping overall system noise low.
- •8GB of cutting-edge GDDR7 memory with PCIe 5.0 interface significantly boosts memory bandwidth and latency compared to previous generations.
- •Great for both gaming (excellent at 1080p and capable at 1440p for about 80% of games) and productive tasks like video editing and music production.
- •Factory overclocked for improved performance and better tuning flexibility straight out of the box.
- •Easy installation and straightforward driver setup with no common stability or crash complaints reported.
Cons
- •VRAM limited to 8GB can be a constraint in newer, more demanding games at higher resolutions or ultra settings; users may need to tweak settings accordingly.
- •Some users report audio crackling issues at 44kHz sampling rate or higher, which requires manual adjustment in BIOS/UEFI to fix by switching PCIe speed from auto/Gen5 to Gen4 — not exactly a plug-and-play experience.
- •Ray tracing, while visually impressive, can noticeably impact performance on this mid-range card given its 8GB VRAM limit.
- •No RGB lighting or flashy aesthetics, which may disappoint users looking for visual flair in their builds.
- •Although excellent for most tasks, this card might be overkill for very basic use cases, making it less cost-effective for casual users only needing light graphics performance.
Bottom Line
The ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 5060 8GB GDDR7 OC Edition is a strong contender for gamers and creators who want solid 1080p performance, efficient cooling, and advanced features like DLSS 4 and PCIe 5.0 in a compact, durable package. Its balance of power and quiet operation suits small builds without sacrificing speed or multitasking ability. However, if you’re sensitive to audio compatibility quirks or crave more VRAM for future-proofing in demanding titles, keep that in mind. Overall, this card offers an excellent performance-to-price ratio and reliability that makes it a top pick for mid-range gaming rigs. If you seek a similar compact card with potentially fewer audio quirks or more VRAM, consider waiting for cards with 12GB+ or explore other brands’ implementations, but for now, this ASUS Dual RTX 5060 OC Edition stands solidly in its class.
