Pros
- •Great price for the amount of litter provided.
- •Excellent odor control; effectively eliminates smells from pet waste.
- •Thick formula resembles flat pellets, which may help reduce tracking.
- •Provides relief from unpleasant smells, making it suitable for new cat owners.
- •Effectively eliminates cat urine odor, maintaining a pleasant fragrance.
- •Larger quantity for a lower price compared to other brands.
Cons
- •Struggles to keep waste solid or well-coated unless allowed to dry.
- •Fresh waste crumbles easily, making it challenging to scoop.
- •Clumping ability is inconsistent; often results in a wet, soggy mess that sticks to the scooper.
- •Granules are large, leading to tracking and dustiness around the house.
- •Requires frequent scooping throughout the day to prevent clumping into a solid mass.
- •Quality has declined significantly, losing its previous effectiveness and pleasant smell.
- •Not effective for multi-cat households, particularly for odor control.
- •The texture resembles that of a clay unclumping litter, which is disappointing for those expecting better quality.
Bottom Line
Arm & Hammer Double Duty Clumping Cat Litter offers a good deal for its price and provides effective odor control, making it suitable for single-cat households aiming to eliminate unpleasant smells. However, users report issues with clumping consistency and handling, which can make maintenance challenging, especially in multi-cat households. For users looking for litter with better clumping performance, it might be worthwhile to explore other brands with a focus on firm clumping ability. Ultimately, while it may be a cost-effective option, it could fall short in quality and effectiveness compared to alternatives.
