Pros
- •Highly effective sealer that delivers on its promises, especially on polished marble surfaces.
- •Recommended by marble restoration specialists as a strong sealer against oils and stains.
- •Successfully sealed grout where other products failed, enhancing and darkening the grout color effectively.
- •Extremely easy to apply and wipe off, ideal for large areas and efficient with a wet mop.
- •Provides excellent, mirror-like finish without adding sheen, maintaining an appealing glossy appearance.
- •Preferred over other brands like Tilelab based on positive results over large areas, such as 1000 square feet.
- •Enhances the appearance of outdoor furniture, such as marble dining tables.
Cons
- •Not suitable for users wanting to maintain the brightness of white marble or the existing grout color.
- •Product can cause discoloration, turning light-colored stone and grout yellow and brown.
- •Removal can be nearly impossible without demolishing the tile work once applied.
- •Application can result in a streaky finish, and there are complaints of peeling after just one month.
- •Leaves a greasy residue that can make tiles slippery and requires thorough wiping.
- •Does not mix with water well, which may cause issues with applicator bottles and require rinsing with alcohol.
Bottom Line
Custom Building Products Aqua Mix Enrich N'Seal is a powerful and easy-to-use stone tile sealer that excels in enhancing and protecting surfaces, particularly polished marble. However, potential discoloration and difficulties in removal warrant caution for some users, especially those dealing with light-colored surfaces. It's important to have realistic expectations about darkening effects and the need for meticulous application to avoid issues like streaks or slipperiness. If brightness preservation or initial color retention is your priority, you may want to consider alternatives.
