Pros
- •Makes pouring from 5-gallon paint buckets much easier and neater, helping to prevent mess and product waste.
- •Works well for pouring paint into mixing cups, streamlining the paint preparation process.
- •Made from quality, thick material that resists tearing and holds up during use.
- •Seals tightly and securely around sealing edges when held firmly, keeping paint fresh.
- •Easy to clean, even after paint has dried for a day, which is a big plus for convenience.
- •Compatible with water-based acrylic paint, adding versatility for different types of projects.
- •Generally enjoyable and straightforward to use with a nice design.
- •Offers good value overall, providing practical functionality for the price.
Cons
- •Does not fit securely into the standard punched hole on top of a 5-gallon paint bucket—no threads or locking mechanism means it can slip and fall out.
- •Can only be forced in for a single use but risks falling out during subsequent pours, increasing risk of large messes and wasted paint.
- •Performance is highly dependent on the bucket design; may only work well on buckets with a raised threaded lip, limiting compatibility.
- •Some users found the product did not meet expectations, describing it as disappointing and not recommended.
Bottom Line
The AllwayTools GPS5 is a decent accessory if you frequently pour large amounts of paint and want to reduce spills and mess, especially on buckets with compatible raised lips. However, its lack of a secure locking mechanism means it’s risky to rely on for repeated use on standard flat-topped 5-gallon buckets. If you need a more secure fit and longer-term reliability, you might want to consider alternative paint pourers designed specifically with locking features or threads to ensure stability and prevent spills.
