- •Easy to use and install, even for people with arthritis, requiring minimal strength
- •Durable and strong enough to hold small to mid-sized framed pictures securely
- •Leaves very small, easy-to-repair holes in drywall after removal
- •Ideal for painted drywall and textured plaster walls where adhesive hangers struggle
- •Safer than nails or nail-based hangers because they are less likely to pierce wiring or plumbing
- •Adhesive alignment guides and place markers make precise installation and frame positioning simple
- •Causes less wall damage compared to traditional hooks or tacks
- •Considered a significant improvement for picture hanging by many users
- •Holds weight as advertised without slipping or falling
- •Installation requires little to no tools, with some models not even needing a hammer
Cons
- •Spacers included are reported to be too thick, causing markers to stick prematurely to the wall
- •Long-term reliability is pending, though initial usage reviews are very positive
- •Might not be suitable for very heavy pictures that need anchoring into studs
Bottom Line
If you're tired of damaging your walls or struggling with unreliable picture hangers, the 3M CLAW Strong Durable Drywall Picture Hanger is a smart choice, especially for small to mid-sized frames on drywall or textured plaster. Its ease of use, minimal wall damage, and strong hold make it worth the extra investment. Just note the spacer thickness might slow installation slightly, and if you need to hang very heavy items, you might want to consider more heavy-duty solutions. For hassle-free, damage-light hanging, this set is a clear winner.
