Pick your AI client
No signup or key is needed: the hosted server at https://api.shopsavvy.com/mcp answers 10 tool calls a minute and 100 an hour without one. Per-client steps (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini, Codex, Windsurf) are at shopsavvy.com/agents#install.

Connect the server
In Claude Code, one command adds the server. Other clients take the URL https://api.shopsavvy.com/mcp.

Optional: add your API key for higher limits
Send your Data API key as an Authorization: Bearer header (or set SHOPSAVVY_API_KEY for the npx package) to raise the limit to 100 tool calls a minute with no hourly cap.

Ask your assistant something like "What is the best price for AirPods Pro right now?" It looks the product up and compares current prices across retailers.

- Product records, current offers from tens of thousands of retailers and price history back to 2011, dense from 2019, from the ShopSavvy MCP server. Prices are in US dollars.

- Every offer carries the time it was last checked. With the Data API you can schedule refreshes hourly, daily or weekly for retailers we can re-check through an official retailer API; other retailers update as ShopSavvy sees them.

- ShopSavvy data flows into your AI assistant. Requests carry only what you ask about (identifiers, search terms or schedules) and your API key.
FAQ
Do I need an API key?
No. The hosted server works without signup at 10 tool calls a minute and 100 an hour. A ShopSavvy Data API key, sent as a Bearer token, raises that to 100 tool calls a minute with no hourly cap.
What data does it return?
ShopSavvy product records (title, brand, model, barcode, ASIN), current offers from tens of thousands of retailers with price, availability and condition, and price history back to 2011, dense from 2019. Products can be looked up by barcode, ASIN, URL or model number. Prices are in US dollars.
How fresh are the prices?
Every offer carries the time ShopSavvy last checked it, so you can see how current each price is. Through the Data API you can schedule refreshes hourly, daily or weekly for retailers we can re-check through an official retailer API; other retailers update as ShopSavvy sees them.
Is my API key stored securely?
You do not need a key. If you add one, it travels only in the Authorization header to api.shopsavvy.com over HTTPS. You can revoke a key and create a new one at shopsavvy.com/data/api-keys.
