🔀 How to Merge Two Conversations
Drag one conversation onto another to combine their products, lineups, and history.
If you started a research thread in two different conversations and want them in one place, the Desktop app lets you merge them — the products, the lineup, and the full message history come along.
How to Do It
- Open the Desktop app and find the two conversations in the sidebar.
- Click and hold the conversation you want to merge from, then drag it onto the conversation you want to merge into.
- A confirmation appears — review the source and target conversation titles, then click Merge.
- The combined conversation opens automatically.
What Gets Merged
- All messages from both conversations, in chronological order.
- Every product across both conversations is added to the merged lineup.
- Pinned context, watched products, and any settings on the target conversation are preserved.
Tips
- The "from" conversation is removed after a successful merge — if you might want it back later, share or export it first.
- If you change your mind mid-drag, drop outside any conversation to cancel.
- Merging works best when the two conversations are about related things (same product category, same purchase decision). Merging unrelated chats can make the assistant's answers less focused.
