Smarter Search Results: Quick Filters, Matching Deals, and Better Price History
We just shipped a handful of improvements to how search results work in ShopSavvy. Here's what changed.
Quick filter carousel
When you search for something, you'll now see a row of filter chips at the top of your results. These include retailer logos and category tags that let you narrow things down with a single tap. Your filter selections stick around between sessions, so if you always want to see results from specific retailers, you only need to set it once.
Matching deals in search
Search results now include a horizontally-scrollable carousel of matching deals. If someone in the ShopSavvy community has posted a deal on what you're searching for, you'll see it right there in your results. No need to check the deals section separately.
Improved price display
The price history section on product pages got a visual refresh. You'll now see color-coded price boxes:
- Green for all-time low price
- Blue for current price
- Red for all-time high price
If the current price is at or near the all-time low, you'll see a "New low!" badge so you know it's a good time to buy.
We also added skeleton loaders so the price section doesn't jump around while data loads.
Better offer validation
Behind the scenes, we've made significant improvements to how we validate that the offers we show you are actually for the right product. We now catch more mismatches like:
- Single items vs. multi-packs listed at different prices
- Wrong product variants (different sizes, different specs)
- Protection plans or add-ons mixed in with product results
- Out-of-stock offers that shouldn't be showing
You can also now flag offers as "out of stock" or "wrong condition" directly from the app, which helps us improve results for everyone.
These updates are live now on iOS and Android.
