ShopSavvy for AI Assistants
ShopSavvy now works with AI assistants through our new MCP server and Data API.
Model Context Protocol support
We're one of the first shopping apps to support Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI assistants access external tools.
What this means
AI assistants like Claude Desktop can now:
- Search for products through ShopSavvy
- Compare prices across retailers
- Get price history data
- Find the best deals
All directly within your AI assistant, no need to switch to ShopSavvy app or website.
For developers: Data API
We also launched a paid Data API providing programmatic access to:
- Product search
- Price comparison data
- Historical pricing
- Product information
Open source
Our MCP server is open source on GitHub. Developers can integrate ShopSavvy into any MCP-compatible AI system.
Why we built this
AI assistants are becoming shopping advisors. We want to make sure they have access to unbiased, comprehensive price data.
ShopSavvy has always been independent โ we sort by lowest price, not who pays us. That philosophy extends to AI assistants.
Try it now
If you use Claude Desktop or other MCP-compatible tools, install the ShopSavvy MCP server from our GitHub.
Developers interested in the Data API can learn more at shopsavvy.com/data.
