From what we've found, the Tomcat Press 'N Set Mouse Trap does a solid job when it comes to catching mice. It's cleverly designed with a spring-loaded mechanism that aims to provide a quick and humane kill.
A big plus is the no-touch disposal feature. Lots of people appreciate that you can get rid of the mouse without actually handling it—definitely a more pleasant and hygienic way to do it.
Plus, many report that it works pretty quickly after you set it up, especially if you use peanut butter as bait since mice can't seem to resist the smell.
The manufacturer designed the trap to hold mice securely, reducing the chance of them getting away. And our research backs that up—plenty have found the trap consistently activates and catches mice soon after it's set.
That said, it's not perfect every single time. Occasionally, there are reports of mice struggling a bit when caught, meaning the kill isn't always immediate. It's not super common, but something to keep in mind.
As for durability, some folks have noticed it wears out a bit with lots of use, especially the plastic parts. This can make it trickier to reset the trap after a catch.
So, keeping an eye on it and maintaining it might help it last longer. Regular cleaning and checks after each use could keep it working well over time.
