Hey, if you're into Jean-Claude Van Damme flicks or just action movies, this 'Sudden Death (4KUHD) [4K UHD]' release might be right up your alley.
The manufacturer mentions it's a two-disc set that includes both a 4K UHD disc and a Blu-ray disc, packed with lots of extras that make watching even more fun.
One cool thing about the 4K UHD disc is it features a new HDR Dolby Vision Master. This was made from a 16-bit 4K scan of the original 35mm film, so you're getting top-notch visuals that really highlight all the action and Van Damme's awesome martial arts moves.
The sound quality doesn't fall short either, offering 5.1 surround sound and lossless 2.0 stereo for an immersive experience.
Probably one of the coolest extras on the 4K UHD disc is a new audio commentary by action film historians Mike Leeder and UK cult movie director Ross Boyask. Listening to them chat gives you some unique insights into how the film was made and why it's an important piece in Van Damme's career.
On the Blu-ray disc side, there are various interviews with the cast and crew. You get to hear from big names like Jean-Claude Van Damme himself, director Peter Hyams, and actors like Powers Boothe and Ross Malinger.
They've been upscaled, and it's pretty neat to hear their stories and experiences during the movie's production—real nostalgia.
Plus, you get some vintage TV spots, a theatrical trailer, and trailers from related flicks. It's like taking a trip back to the '90s action scene.
Overall, these special features let you dive deep into how 'Sudden Death' came to be, making it a great addition to the collection if you love action films or Van Damme.
Whether you're an old fan or someone curious about this cult classic, this release gives you plenty to enjoy and appreciate the film even more.
