The Outward Hound Fun Feeder Slo Bowl comes in three sizes: small, medium, and large. This variety is great because it means there's a bowl for nearly any dog, from the tiniest puppy to a big old hound.
The small size is, naturally, great for smaller dogs or even for kittens who need to slow down their chow time. If your dog's more of a medium breed, the medium size should work well. And for the big furry friends, the large size should fit the bill without a problem.
The unique design with ridges and mazes is meant to slow down your pet's eating pace. This can help reduce issues like bloating, regurgitation, and obesity, while giving them a bit of a mental workout too.
As for safety, the manufacturer lists the Slo Bowl as being free from BPA, PVC, and phthalates, so it’s safe for your pet to use. Plus, it's dishwasher safe on the top rack, which is always a win for easy cleaning.
If you're unsure about the size, think about your pet's portion sizes and how they usually eat. Getting the right size can really enhance the slow feeding benefits.
And keep in mind, if the bowl gets damaged, it's best to replace it just to be safe.
Our research suggests pet owners appreciate this bowl for helping their pets eat more slowly, and they find it pretty durable and manageable to clean too.
It seems like a solid choice for encouraging healthier eating habits in pets.
