Talking about the lens quality of the Oakley OO4142 Ejector sunglasses, they're pretty impressive. Oakley's known for using some solid lens tech, and the Prizm Sapphire Polarized lenses they put in this model definitely live up to that reputation.
These lenses are designed to make colors pop and boost contrast and detail, so everything looks more vibrant but still natural. They're particularly handy in medium to bright light conditions, making your view clearer without straining your eyes. According to what we've found, these polarized lenses do a great job of cutting down 99% of reflected glare, which really helps if you're out in bright conditions a lot.
The lenses let only about 12% of light through, making them a good choice for sunny days. Per the manufacturer's description, they not only offer polarization but also provide full UV protection, covering UVA, UVB, UVC, and blue light up to 400nm. That's crucial if you're outdoors often.
As for the frame, it's made from a super lightweight C-5 alloy with acetate stems, giving you both durability and a stylish look. This setup is comfortable for long wear, although some of our research points out that the nose pads might not be comfy for everyone.
One thing to note is the sunglasses come with a microbag for storage and cleaning. A few folks mentioned that a hard case would be a nice touch considering the price, though.
Overall, these Oakleys are well-regarded for their style and quality, thanks to Oakley's expertise with lenses. If you're thinking about getting a pair, it might be a good idea to try them on first to make sure they're comfortable for you, especially considering the nose pads and how they fit.
