The Moen Hilliard faucet does have a flow rate of 1.2 gallons per minute, as you'd guess from the name. This is pretty standard for bathroom faucets these days and strikes a nice balance between water efficiency and performance.
While we're on the topic of design, the faucet comes with a brass pop-up drain assembly that’s coated in brushed nickel, giving it a sleek look. That said, our research shows there might be some hiccups with this drain setup.
Some folks mentioned that the plastic sink drain's thickness can cause minor pooling issues, preventing full drainage. There's also some feedback on the sealing gaskets—apparently, the top one might be too thin for a proper seal, and the bottom one is a bit too stiff, potentially leading to leaks.
So, while the faucet itself is reliable, the drain design might not hit the mark for everyone.
On a brighter note, the faucet is praised for its appearance and painless installation. If you're drawn to its consistent water flow, just keep in mind any concerns about the pop-up drain. If that's a dealbreaker for you, some users have switched to a separate metal pop-up drain to sidestep these issues.
In the end, if you're thinking about snagging the Moen Hilliard faucet, it's good to weigh these points so you can decide what's right for you. Whether you fix the drain concerns with a different setup or just embrace the faucet’s water-saving perks, it should look great in your bathroom.
