Hey! So about the Vector Optics Paragon 3x18 Prism Scope—if you're curious about the eye relief, it measures at 3.7 inches according to what we've found.
This scope is really tailored for quick tactical shooting, particularly with .223 and 5.56 BDC reticles, and fits nicely on a 21mm Picatinny rail. The manufacturer mentions it has a prism with full multi-coating, which should give you clear and sharp visuals edge-to-edge.
One cool thing is that it offers a broader field of view than a lot of others out there and has 10 illumination levels, so it handles different lighting well, from bright daylight to lower light situations. It’s even night vision compatible, adding to its utility. The 1MOA center dot with a ring-illuminated reticle is aimed at helping with quick target acquisition.
From what we've gathered, people find it valuable for its price. It's light and compact—similar to the Aimpoint T1-style red dots.
There's generally positive buzz about the crisp reticle and the practical illumination levels, plus it seems the overall fit and finish get a thumbs-up for being "good for the money."
That said, some have run into trouble with the mounting system, noting that the included screws might not fit all mounts properly. A few folks suggest using the Vector Optics SCPSM-01 Cantilever T1/T2 mount for better stability.
As for the glass quality, it’s decent considering its price, though it might not quite match up to the priciest models. One thing to watch out for—it doesn't come with a battery, so if you want to use the illumination feature right away, you'll need to grab one separately.
If you're diving into the specifics of setting it up, you might need to dig a bit deeper into the reticle details.
Overall, it's a solid option if you're looking for a budget-friendly scope that doesn't skimp on performance, though you might need to tweak it a bit or get some additional gear for the best setup.
