The Strike King KVD 1.5 Shallow Square Bill Crankbait is designed for shallow waters. According to the manufacturer's description, it dives to about 3 feet. It doesn't go too deep, so it's great if you're aiming to keep your lure in the top layers of the water.
The square bill design is a neat feature that helps it stay shallow while creating a wobbling action that looks like distressed baitfish. This movement can really attract predator fish. Interestingly, it doesn't have internal rattles, which might give you an advantage in areas where fish are easily spooked because it's quieter.
The color pattern, like the Chartreuse Sexy Shad, is a good pick for stained waters—it stands out nicely and can help catch the eye of fish, especially bass.
From our research, folks really like its action, especially how it bounces off obstacles like rocks and weeds, often triggering bites from fish hiding there.
Just a heads up: it's a good idea to check the hooks and split rings to make sure they’re in good shape before you hit the water.
Overall, it's a solid choice if you're into shallow water fishing, whether you're just starting out or if you've been fishing for a while.
