The OGO™ Compost Toilet has a neat integration with its urine-separating mechanism. The manufacturer describes it as having a patented diverter that helps keep moisture out of the compost. This feature reduces odors and makes the composting process more effective.
It also includes a urine level sensor. Our research shows that this sensor is pretty useful, as it lights up an external button when the urine bottle is almost full. This way, you know when it's time to empty it, so you can avoid any overflow mess—definitely helpful for keeping things clean.
The toilet is designed to be user-friendly, with an electric component that mixes the compost to speed up decomposition. However, you'll need a power source for this feature. From what we've found, a lot of people find it simple to use and maintain, with minimal smell thanks to its separation design. It keeps liquids and solids from mixing, cutting down on any unpleasant odors.
On the flip side, some folks have mentioned issues with the reliability of the urine bottle's full indicator. There have been cases where it doesn't always work, requiring manual checks to make sure everything’s in order. While these problems don't seem to happen a lot, it's something you might want to keep in mind.
All in all, the OGO Compost Toilet offers advanced features for eco-friendly waste management. It's a solid option for places like RVs, tiny homes, or sailboats, where sustainable living is key.
