The Samsung QN90D QLED TV is really known for its strong brightness and vibrant colors, which is great if you're using it in different lighting conditions, whether the room is super bright or pretty dim. This TV is from Samsung's 2024 range and makes use of some pretty fancy features like Neo Quantum HDR+ that boost contrast and color to deliver a truly stunning picture quality.
Just a heads-up, though: Samsung continues its tradition of skipping Dolby Vision in favor of other HDR formats like HDR10 and HDR10+.
Why's that significant? Well, if Dolby Vision is a deal-breaker for you, this might be a point to consider because some reviews suggest that users miss it since lots of competing TVs come with that feature. But if we're talking specifically about brightness, the QN90D does a great job. The images are really bright and vivid, so it's perfect for everything from sports and movies to gaming.
Speaking of gaming, this TV has some cool features for that too, supporting 4K at 144Hz and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which helps keep things smooth during fast-paced gaming sessions. It gives gamers the kind of fast and immersive experience they usually want, making this a good option if gaming's your thing.
Based on our research, many people who use the QN90D are quite happy with its picture quality. They often point out its impressive brightness and accurate colors as big pluses. Some folks do wish it had Dolby Vision, but overall, the feedback suggests that the HDR experience and the technology like Real Depth Enhancer Pro still make this a solid performer.
If you're considering the QN90D, its great brightness and features are definitely worth a look for a flexible TV setup. However, if having Dolby Vision is a must for you, it might be wise to check out some other options that have it included.

According to the manufacturer's description, it uses Mini LED backlighting to manage dimming precisely, creating deep blacks without the burn-in worries of OLEDs. If you're watching TV in a bright space, this brightness is a big plus.
On the flip side, OLED TVs are champions at delivering perfect blacks and infinite contrast. Since each pixel lights up individually, they can show amazing detail in dark scenes, making images look lifelike and vibrant—great for movie nights in a dimly lit room.
Our research shows the QN90D is also strong in color accuracy a

Even without Dolby Vision, the QN90D compensates quite well. Its Neo QLED tech, along with Mini LED backlighting, brings out vibrant colors and excellent brightness, making your HDR content look seriously good.
