The Roomba j7+ has a battery life of up to 90 minutes on a single charge, according to the manufacturer. This can change based on the surfaces it's cleaning and the settings you're using. For most homes, this is plenty of time. If it does run low, it automatically returns to its charging dock, recharges, and then picks up right where it left off. Pretty neat, right?
While we're at it, the Roomba j7+ uses something called PrecisionVision Navigation. This tech relies on cameras and image processing to dodge common household obstacles like shoes, socks, and even pet waste.
According to our research, it might take a bit longer to map your home at first and could bump into furniture during this phase. But once it gets the hang of things, it navigates smoothly.
Just a heads-up, though - it seems to handle bare floors and low-pile carpets well but might struggle a bit with high-pile carpets and pet hair. The self-emptying feature is super convenient, though it can be a bit noisy.
So, despite a few quirks, it’s a solid choice for keeping your place clean with minimal effort on your part.
