The Klein Tools ET180 Digital Manometer is pretty solid when it comes to measuring pressure accurately. From our research, it does what it’s supposed to, but there's a catch—it's missing some fittings that you might need to hook it up to certain systems. So, you might want to keep that in mind.
The manufacturer's description mentions it comes with basics like silicone tubing and batteries to get you started. But, it's missing barbed adapters or certain fittings, which could be an issue if you're looking to connect it to gas valves or similar things.
We've found that a few folks have been frustrated because they needed these extra components for standard equipment. It seems that a lot of people trying to attach this manometer to standard gas valves or pressure systems end up needing to hunt down additional adapters.
One common hiccup is the need for a 1/8 inch MIP to barb adapter—it's not included, and it's not always easy to snag at a local store. Plus, the tubing it comes with is smaller than the usual 1/4 inch poly tubing you'd use in HVAC work. So, there's a chance you might have to make a few more tweaks or purchases to get everything to mesh smoothly.
In short, the ET180 is dependable for pressure measurement, but if your projects need specific fittings, it’s smart to gear up ahead of time with those extras or maybe even consider a different model that fits your needs better. Being in the know about these things can save you some hassle and keep your work on track.
Bottom line? The ET180 is great with accuracy, just make sure you've got the right parts for your setup to skip any surprises later on. Double-check what fittings you need beforehand to keep things smooth sailing.
