🖥️Tandem OLED is basically two OLED screens stacked on top of each other, and it's the same display tech Apple put in the iPad Pro M5. Dell brought this to the XPS 14 (2026), and honestly, it's a game-changer for anyone worried about OLED burn-in.
Here's the deal: when you stack two OLED layers, each pixel only needs to work at half brightness to produce the same output. Your display looks stunning while lasting way longer. Burn-in has always been the Achilles' heel of OLED laptops, especially if you keep the same windows visible for hours.
The color accuracy is phenomenal. You get full 100% DCI-P3 coverage with a Delta E of just 1.27 right out of the box. For photo editors and video creators, this is professional-grade stuff.
The variable refresh rate is clever too. It drops to 20Hz for static content and ramps up to 120Hz for smooth scrolling.
The catch? Battery life takes a hit. The OLED gets roughly 12.5 hours versus 20+ hours on the LCD. If you're always near an outlet, the OLED is stunning. If you need all-day battery, the LCD might make more sense.
