The Privacy Display is Samsung's innovative new feature exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It's the world's first built-in privacy screen for smartphones, eliminating the need for aftermarket privacy protectors.
How Privacy Display Works
When enabled, specialized hardware in the AMOLED panel narrows the viewing angle dramatically. Anyone looking from the side sees a darkened screen, while your view remains perfectly normal.
Two Privacy Modes Available
Partial Screen Privacy
- Activates only in selected apps (banking, messaging, email)
- Normal phone use otherwise
- Best for everyday privacy needs
Maximum Privacy Protection
- Blocks side viewing across all apps
- Ideal for entering passwords and PINs in public
- Maximum security for sensitive situations
How to Enable Privacy Display
- Open Settings
- Go to Display
- Toggle Privacy Display on
- Choose your privacy level
- Select apps for partial privacy mode
Key Points
- Exclusive to Galaxy S26 Ultra (not available on S26 or S26+)
- No external accessories needed
- Your view remains completely normal
- Activates instantly when enabled
This feature makes the S26 Ultra particularly appealing for professionals handling sensitive information or anyone who values privacy in public spaces.
