If you're looking at the Breville Handy Mix Scraper, it's definitely worth knowing about a couple of common issues, especially with the BHM800BTR model in Black Truffle.

From our research, one thing that pops up is the fragility of the attachments. People have noticed that while the beaters start out strong, they can sometimes bend or break if you're using them on really tough mixtures.

Even though the manufacturer claims it can handle everything from light batters to denser doughs, pushing it too hard might wear down those parts quicker.

Also, there's something about the beater's design that doesn't always scrape the sides of the bowl as you might expect. You might find yourself having to give the mix a hand here and there, which is a bit of a bummer if you're aiming for a hands-free experience.

The mixer generally runs pretty quietly, but a few folks have mentioned that it can make odd noises, especially at higher speeds. So if it ever starts sounding off, it might be a good idea to check it out.

In the end, even with these hiccups, the Breville Handy Mix Scraper is still quite popular because of its strong motor and cool features like Beater IQ technology, a timer, and a mixing light.

It's pretty versatile with its 9-speed settings that include a boost. Just keep an eye out for those common issues and handle the attachments gently if you decide to go for it.
