Hey! So, if you're thinking about the Shop Fox W1674 Shaper, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, it's quite hefty and large, coming in at about 293 pounds and measuring 44 x 27 x 24.5 inches. This means moving it around isn't exactly a walk in the park.

It's really meant to sit in one spot in your workshop rather than being moved a lot.

The good news, though, is that its weight actually works in its favor. Our research shows that the heaviness helps keep it stable while it's running, which is super important if you're all about precision in your work. You can expect fewer vibrations, which means more accurate cuts.

The manufacturer mentions that its cast iron parts and solid build add to its stability, making it a great pick if you're into detailed woodworking projects.

But if you need something you can easily move around, this might not be the one for you. If rearranging your workspace or transporting tools is a big part of your routine, you might want to look into tools that are specifically made for mobility. Adding casters could be an option, but you'd want to make sure they don't mess with its stability.

However, if you've got a dedicated spot in your shop and you're after top-notch performance and precision, the heft of the Shop Fox W1674 can actually be a pro.

Its sturdy build makes it ready for heavy-duty tasks, and it's earned a good rep among those who can give it a proper place to stay put.

So, while it's not the most portable option, if you've got the right setup, its stable, precise operation could be a big plus for your woodworking projects.
