So, when it comes to the Igloo Trailmate 50 Qt cooler, there are a few things to keep in mind. This cooler is pretty popular because it holds up well in terms of performance and keeps things cool for a long time, which is super handy for things like camping or tailgating.
The manufacturer talks up its sturdy build and thick insulation, and from what we've found, it generally lives up to that. It's got this Cool Riser Technology that keeps it off the ground and helps with cooling, especially when it’s hot outside. Most folks seem to appreciate that.
But, like anything, it's not perfect. Some people have mentioned issues with certain parts not holding up as well over time, like some leaks in the foam or parts that weren't quite right out of the box.
Thankfully, these issues seem to be on the rarer side, and it sounds like Igloo tends to fix them pretty promptly.
Oh, and those latches on the cooler? They do a good job keeping it shut tight, but they can wear down if you're not careful with them.
Overall, it's a solid choice if you're looking for something durable that can keep your stuff cold on longer trips. Just a couple of things to watch out for regarding durability.
