The K&M 16416.000.55 Harmonica Holder is known for being pretty solid and is a go-to for musicians who juggle the harmonica with other instruments, like the guitar. It's got a sturdy steel frame and adjustable spring tension, with knurled screws that are supposed to grip the harmonica securely. The manufacturer describes it as fitting well around different neck sizes and styles.
From what we've found, the rubber on the support arms helps keep the harmonica in place, which is great for those intense performances. Plus, the neck frame has a soft rubber cushion for comfort, which a lot of folks seem to like, especially during long gigs.
However, there are a few grumbles. A common complaint is about the lack of adjustability in the neck brace—some people find it sits a bit too close to their face, which can be annoying or uncomfortable. Some people have suggested adding washers to improve friction in the pivot joints, but this DIY fix isn't a hit with everyone.
While it has its quirks, many users still appreciate the holder's durability, especially compared to cheaper models that might skimp on quality.
If you're thinking about getting one, it's a good idea to consider both the positives like its build and comfort, as well as the potential downsides others have mentioned, to see if it meets your needs.
