If you're thinking about getting the Briggs & Riley Baseline Spinner 22-inch Carry-On, there are a couple of things to keep in mind based on our research. One common gripe is with maneuverability. It seems like the bag struggles to roll smoothly on anything other than hard surfaces.
For instance, rolling it over a flat carpet can be a bit of a headache, to the point where you might find yourself dragging it like a two-wheeled suitcase. The wheels also have a tendency to not roll straight, which makes navigating even trickier at times.
Professional reviewers have mentioned this too, saying that while the suitcase is tough and has a lot of space, the wheels often get misaligned and don't track well on uneven floors. This misalignment can be a consistent issue, especially when you're navigating through places like airports or hotels that have a mix of floor types.
Still, it's not all bad. A lot of folks really like the roomy interior, durability, and organizational features of this carry-on. It's great for space management and has solid build quality.
Even though the wheels might be a problem, the bag's overall construction and interior design get pretty high marks.
So, if having a carry-on that rolls smoothly on different surfaces is super important to you, this could be a drawback. But if that's something you can overlook, you'll probably find the Baseline Spinner to be a solid travel buddy in other ways.
